SDLG enhances motor graders with cab and service access upgrades
Raft of important updates include new cab, new engine hood and easier maintenance points
SDLG has announced a makeover of its G9138, G9190 and G9220 motor graders, combining improvements to the cab and operator environment with a fresh new look for the machines.
The Volvo-owned Chinese manufacturer said the grader models have now been fitted with newer and modern-looking cabs that provide easier entry and exit. Visibility has also been enhanced with larger glazed areas and thinner pillars with thinner silicone stripes, helping operators to complete tasks with greater safety, accuracy and productivity.
A new front display also improves visibility and makes the gauges easier to read by following the movement of the pedestal, said a statement from the manufacturer, adding that the display also includes an articulation indictor to aid the operator.
Visibility is further improved by a new right dashboard down to the rear right wheel and to the right-hand side, giving a clear overview of the buttons and making them quicker and easier to access.
When servicing the machines, the new engine hood has a larger opening for easier access to all the components. The new hydraulic sight glass also helps technicians in carrying out effective regular maintenance checks, said SDLG.
The cab air filter is now positioned behind the righthand side window, increasing visibility, and one of the filters can even be accessed from inside the cab.
Improving both durability and reliability, the graders now include a single large tilt cylinder on the mouldboard instead of two small ones, as well as new upper and lower guide rails.
“Our SDLG motor graders are already proving popular on the market and these latest updates to
their visibility, durability, ease of operation and maintenance are set to make them even more of a safe, reliable and productive choice,” says Henrik Sjöstrand, product manager, SDLG.
