BKT launches new Multimax MP 538 tyre for telehandlers
The tyre is the latest addition to the Multimax range which is designed to carry heavy loads at high speeds
BKT Tires has extended its lineup of tyres in the OTR segment with the new BKT Multimax MP 538, which is billed as an agro-industrial tyre designed for telehandlers and several other applications such as motor graders and loaders operating on ice and snow.
According to the manufacturer, the specially-designed tread pattern ensures high traction while its steel-belted casing allows the tyre to carry heavy loads at high speeds.
In November 2020, BKT announced that it was ready to test its new giant Earthmax SR 468 tyre, while in March 2021, the manufacturer introduced its Earthmax SR 412 tyre for heavy earthmovers.
The Multimax MP 538, which can also be used with sweepers for road maintenance, is available in size 405/70 R 20 MPT.
Part of the same Multimax range is the Multimax MP 540, for which BKT recently introduced two new sizes: 335/80 R 18 and 365/80 R 20. This is said to be a multi-purpose tyre (MPT) intended for universal vehicles used in municipality and maintenance applications.
Serving both original equipment manufacturers and the replacement market, BKT, which distributes its tyres through Al Naboodah in the UAE, has focused on specialty segments such as agricultural and industrial vehicles as well as earthmoving, construction, port, mining and all-terrain vehicle gardening applications.
In July 2021, BKT introduced its Multimax MP 569 tyre for agro-industrial applications.
