Liebherr unveils the LTR 1220 tele-crawler

New crane has a 60m, six section main boom with a 12.2-22.2m bi-fold swing away extension

Heavy machinery manufacturer, Liebherr Group, has launched the new LTR 1220, a 220-tonne telescopic boom crawler crane.

The new crane has a 60m six-section main boom with a 12.2-22.2m bi-fold swing-away extension, which can offset by up to 45°, as well as two more seven-metre inserts for a maximum extension length of 36.2m, all of which can be offset, according to the manufacturer.

The LTR 1220’s undercarriage can be hydraulically telescoped out from the crawler carrier width of 4.5m to an intermediate 5.88m or to the maximum 7.25m.

Operation on uneven ground is possible with side inclination of up to 4°, Liebherr added.

The crane is powered by a 230kW, seven-cylinder inline diesel engine. Line pull on the hoist winches is 105kN for fast operation.
