Dar al-Arkan inaugurates Riyadh’s largest shopping mall
Al Qasr Mall will feature 350 stores, a fun zone, food court and two parking floors
Saudi Arabia’s largest developer by market value, Dar al-Arkan (DAAR), has announced the opening of the largest shopping complex in the capital, Riyadh.
The al-Qasr Mall is built on a land area of 62,000m2, has a net leasable area of 85,000m2 and extends over 250,000m2 of built-up area. The external facade of the new mall was designed to be used at night as a moving hoarding of 800m in length.
Al-Qasr Mall features 350 stores, fun zone, food court, and two parking floors, and a total capacity of 2,200 parking spaces. Al-Qasr Mall has a large catchment area with more than two million people living in its radius.
More than 80% of the mall’s capacity was leased out, the firm said. “DAAR intends to retain al Qasr Mall as a leasable asset as part of its investment properties portfolio,” the developer said.
