CHEC begins operations at modular facility in KSA

China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) has begun operations at its modular building factory for the Sedra housing project, which is being developed by Roshn, in Riyadh.

Spanning 200,000sqm, the factory will supply prefabricated components for Sedra’s fully modular villas, while also laying the industrial foundation for future prefabricated construction initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Iain McBride, Head of Commercial, Roshn, praised the factory’s remarkable speed of completion, commending its design, construction quality, and safety standards.

“We look forward to deepening our collaboration with China Harbour in alignment with Vision 2030, the subsequent phases of the Sedra project, and expansion plans, working together to create a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia,” McBride noted.

Yang Zhiyuan, General Manager, China Harbour Engineering Company (Middle East) said the firm will continue working closely with Saudi Arabia’s PIF, and with Roshn, to establish a leading prefabricated construction base in the Middle East.
