Abu Dhabi-based Abu Nasir General Transport has added a 100-tonne capacity class Terex all terrain crane to its fleet of mobile cranes, ranging in size from 80 to 500 tonnes.

The Terex AC 100/4 has a maximum boom length of 59.4 metres and system length of 81.7 metres.

The crane will be used throughout the United Arab Emirates on heavy and complex lifts in the energy industry. Abu Nasir performs regular work for oil and gas operators such as GASCO or ADCO, including major plant shutdowns – highly time-critical maintenance projects.

“We chose this machine for its quality and performance. At just 2.55 metres wide, it’s also the most compact machine in its class, which is extremely important when working in the confined spaces of the oil and gas sector,” said the firm’s operations manager, Asif Salim.

“This latest crane from Terex is also easy to operate and provides a high level of comfort, visibility and information for the operator, in addition to being the most flexible with the longest boom extensions,” said Salim.

Abu Nasir General Transport Est. was founded in 1976, and its wider fleet includes hydraulic cranes, flatbed and low-bed trailers, transport vehicles and forklifts from 3t to 15t capacity.
