Developer Limitless confirms project infrastructure is ready
The infrastructure for the Us $13 billion mixed-use urban development Downtown Jebel Ali is now ready for developers to commence construction, according to a senior executive from project developers Limitless.
Salah Ameen, executive director for Limitless, Middle East the master developer of Downtown Jebel Ali confirmed five of the site’s plots are currently being constructed and three developers are finalising design plans.
One of the projects under construction is Suburbia, a residential development which is expected to be completed in 2013.
“As master developer, Limitless has sufficiently completed infrastructure to allow sub developers to begin work on their projects,” said Salah Ameen, executive director for Limitless in the Middle East.
“The overall delivery of Downtown Jebel Ali will be driven by sub developers’ individual timelines,” he added.
The developer is now working towards completing the first phase of residential units at The Galleries; comprising six office buildings and two residential towers, covering eight plots.
In total, the two buildings will have over 600 retails units where Siemens, Arup, L’Oreal, Ericsson, Kraft Food, SPX Corporation and dozens of other firms are either already operating or in the final stages of fit-out.
Nearly 380,000 sq ft of the available office space is now taken.

Although Ameen could not comment on sub-developers’ project completion date he did confirm the project’s infrastructure work had been completed to allow third-party developers to begin construction.
