Work completed on first two phases of $300m Mohamed bin Zayed City 1 residential project in Ajman

Project is being implemented under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme and will be completed in Q2 2022

Work on the first two phases of the Mohamed bin Zayed City 1 residential development in Ajman has been completed, it has been announced.

The project is being implemented under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme at a cost of $300 million. The 898-unit residential project is to be implemented in four phases and will likely be ready for handover by the second quarter of 2022.

According a WAM report, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, said that around 497 residential units have been completed within the first two phases of Mohamed bin Zayed City 1.

“Work is currently under way on Phases 3 and 4, which will see another 401 houses being built, he added, speaking while touring the Mohamed bin Zayed City site in Ajman.

The minister said that the Mohamed bin Zayed City development in Ajman will be the first residential project to include the Zayed 2071 residence, which is the first innovative and sustainable housing to receive the highest environmental assessment in the country according to the “Estidama” system of pearl evaluation.

Jameela Al Findi, Director-General of the SZHP, added that the ministry was keen to provide high-quality housing, compliant with all major environmental laws and sustainability standards, to Emirati citizens.

She also pointed out that the project’s construction is progressing according to schedule.

“Phase 1 consists of four categories, including 11 model houses, ranging from five to two bedrooms, with modern and contemporary front elevation style,” she concluded.
