Work on schedule for key Sharjah tourism and educational projects

Sharjah Ruler inspects vital projects in Khorfakkan city on emirate’s east coast

Sharjah authorities have said that work is progressing according to schedule on its key tourism and entertainment projects, including Khorfakkan Square Park, which is being developed on a 163,000sqm area, and several other academic and service projects in the emirate.

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, inspected these vital projects in the city of Khorfakkan on December 20, 2020. He began his visit by inspecting the various academic projects and the new expansion of the University of Sharjah, Khorfakkan Branch.

He also examined the progress of work in the buildings, classes, and various facilities.

Sheikh Sultan was briefed by Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) about the progress of the ongoing projects during his visit.

Once the expansion work is completed, the university will have a number of buildings, classrooms and educational and administrative facilities on a 22,000sqm area.

Following this vist, Sheikh Sultan later visited Khorfakkan Square Park, where he reviewed its entertainment services and facilities.
