GVG set to complete key phases of Moroccan project in Q2 2021
The first two phases of the mixed-use project are set for completion in the second quarter of 2021
Dubai-based GVG Real Estate Development has announced that steady progress is being made at its mega mixed-use project Emirates Touristic Resort, located in Morocco.
GVG’s statement mentioned that work is in full swing, and that it would deliver 217 units within the Moroccan project over the next six months. According to the statement, scope of work includes construction of 97 residential villas and eight buildings incorporating 120 hotel apartments.
The Emirates Touristic Resort is spread over an area of 4.3 million sqm., and features 350 modern residential villas and 36 hotel apartment buildings with lush green landscapes. In addition to this, other amenities such as medical tourism centres, a spa, a sauna, shopping centres, restaurants, cafes, sports complexes, swimming pools as well as green parks, are available within the development.
Ali Al Salami, founder and president of GVG Real Estate Development, said the project is being developed in four phases, of which two are nearing completion along with infrastructure works.
Al Salami said: “More than 80% of the construction work has been completed on the first batch of residential villas, while the first batch of hotel apartment buildings is 40% ready.”
“We are dealing patiently with the economic challenges posed by the pandemic. However, we have succeeded in securing the project’s supply chains with steady construction and human resources and have equipped the work site with engineering teams and the required mechanism in order to continue construction works throughout the week,” he stated.
