Emirates Glass signs $5.44m worth of Turkish projects
Dubai based manufacturer aims to deliver on a number of projects by last quarter of 2012
Emirates Glass, the architectural flat glass manufacturer and subsidiary of Glass LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, announced on Sunday that it had received $5.44m worth of orders from Turkish projects that required the installation of self-cleaning glass.
In partnership with Feryapi, the Turkish property investment and development firm, Emirates Glass will work on the I-Tower and East and West developments in Turkey. Other projects that will utilise EGL’s self cleaning glass include the HAMP, Gold Tower, Nida Tower and Gursan. The delivery date for these projects is the last quarter of 2012.
“The construction market in the region is picking up pace once again, driving the demand for high quality glass. The trend is particularly evident in Turkey, which is validated by our win of key purchase orders for projects that are poised to set new industry benchmarks in the country,” said Zaid Yazbeck, senior vice-president, Sales and Marketing for Glass LLC.
“The endorsement from this market has also taken us a step forward in our vision to grow as the largest glass manufacturer in the region,” he added.
Earlier this year, Emirates Glass inaugurated a $43.5m state of the art coating line which helped escalate production capacity to over 3.5m square metres.
With several such efficient production units, Emirates Glass aims to be able to meet large production orders with short deadlines, Yazbeck said.
