Success for Group after “challenging 12 months”
McLaren Construction Group has announced “strong” financial results, following a “challenging 12 months”.
Operating profits are up 75% on the previous year and secured projects for the 2011-12 period are valued in excess of £380m.
“The results are testament to the levels of investment and the application of a focused business plan across our group of companies,” commented company chair of McLaren’s new internationally based group of companies, Kevin Taylor
“It’s been a challenging 12 months for our industry and we are pleased to announce such a strong performance,” he added.
The group also reports it is to re-structure its management as part of a growth strategy. A number of new appointments have already been made, including: John Gatley, who has joined the main board; David Murphy, director responsible for Brentwood and Birmingham UK operations; Rob Kremis, director responsible for London operations; and Graham Lumberg Northern operations director.
All report to Phil Pringle, managing director for construction and the UAE.
“Our significant growth has been controlled strategically through our management infrastructure and as a result we continue to maintain a high level of repeat order business as well as aligning ourselves with new high profile customers,” Pringle commented.
In the UAE, James McDowell-Foord has been appointed to the role of international business development director. A full interview will feature in March issue of The Big Project.
