Indian demand pushes Gulf Extrusions growth

Subcontinent is a key destination in the UAE based company’s global expansion strategy

UAE-based aluminium extrusion specialist, Gulf Extrusions has raised its production capacity to meet a 300% surge in demand in the firm’s Indian market in 2012, making the subcontinent a key destination in the global expansion strategy of the company.

“The surge in demand in new export markets, as well as the consistently strong performance achieved in traditional markets across the Middle East have prompted Gulf Extrusions to boost its production capacity this year,” general manager of Gulf Extrusions, Modar Al Mekdad, told the Khaleej Times.

Gulf Extrusions, part of Al Ghurair Group, produces aluminium extruded profiles ranging from architectural sections to components for air conditioning grills, furniture, marine applications, transportation, automotive, and customised products.
