Nakheel to award Mall contract within three months
Company to assess and award one of six bids received, says Nakheel release.
Leading UAE developer Nakheel has announced the receipt of all tenders required for the construction of its $680mn (AED2.5bn) worth Nakheel Mall on the Palm Jumeirah.
The company announced it received six proposals, with bids starting at $322.6mn (AED1.185bn) for the construction contract, which is expected to be rewarded within three months. Ground preparation and piling work on the project had already begun in October 2013.
The 418,000sqm large retail, dining and entertainment complex will be built at the northern end of The Palm’s truck, and is expected to be completed in 2016. It will include 200 shops and 4,000 parking bays, besides a variety of department stores, cinema hall, medical clinics and restaurants inside.
