L&T Construction wins several contracts for energy infrastructure
The firm has announced wins in Dubai, Africa, Thailand and India
L&T Construction has announced it won a number of orders for the development of energy infrastructure overseas and in India.
As per a statement from parent firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T), its construction subsidiary secured a major contract to design, supply, construct, install, test and commission a 132/11kV substation with associated cable works in Dubai. It also secured two transmission line packages from Africa.
The firm also said its Power Transmission & Distribution Business was awarded a contract for the supply and construction of a new gas insulated substation and associated substation extensions in Thailand. The works will enhance the transmission system security and support the rising demand for electricity in the upper northern parts of the country, the firm said.
It also won a turnkey order for urban power distribution in Ayodhya city in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, in addition to a contract to build a 220kV transmission line in the Ladakh region, the statement concluded.
