DAMAC announced on Wednesday that its landmark Al Jawharah DAMAC Residences Tower on Jeddah Corniche had reached the 28th floor, more than halfway to its final height of 48 floors.

Built in collaboration with Versace Home, DAMAC Residences aims to provide some of the most exclusive apartments in the Kingdom. The project incorporates luxury building materials into an iconic architectural structure that is designed to stand out amongst Jeddah’s skyline.

The building will combine clean lines with a shifting, interlocking facade, providing a complex system that creates reflective panels which will disperse and refract light, creating an illusionary effect, said Ziad El Chaar, managing director of DAMAC Properties.

He added that work was recently completed on the Versace Home designed lobby to the building. Designed to convey a sense of opulence and luxury, the lobby has emerald marble installed from the floor into the walls, which feature mirrored panels and multiple down lights in the ceiling.

“We recognise that interior design is one of the major reasons a customer chooses a particular apartment over another with similar specifications. Property investors are advised to consider interior design at the point of purchase, to ensure strong capital growth in the years to come,” El Chaar said.

Apartments of one, two and three bedrooms are expected to be delivered by the last quarter of 2013, while the DAMAC Residences project, with its limited release Versace Home designed interiors, is anticipated to be completed by the second quarter of 2014.

Established in 2002, DAMAC is one of the region’s most prominent developers, with projects across North Africa, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, in addition to its work in the UAE.
