Saudi flyovers make way for Haramain Express
Two suspension bridges will be built in the area
A technical source at Saudi Arabia’s Haramain Railway Project has said detours on the Haramain Expressway near the King Abdullah Road and Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz (Tahliah) Road flyovers are set for demolition to make way for the railway.
The demolition work has been scheduled to commence immediately after the upcoming Haj season, the source was quoted as saying by the Saudi Gazette. Two suspension bridges would be built in the area, one of which is for entry of trains to the railway station at Al-Sulaimanyah and the other for exiting trains from the station.
The Ministry of Transport said the contractor would complete in two weeks the first stage of the track building, which covers electric signals and construction of the rails, among other tasks.
