New entity will work on projects that require thermal recycling and re-mediation across the region

Saudi construction firm, Gulf Consolidated Contractors (GCC) has teamed up with US-based oil and gas industry technology services supplier, T5 Corporation, to form a joint venture based in the Kingdom.

The new entity, called Environmental and Technology Solutions will work on projects that require thermal recycling and re-mediation utilising low temperature thermal desorption in the six GCC countries.

T5 will serve as a technical advisor regarding low temperature thermal desorption (LTTD), recycling of waste streams and secondary manufacturing to the joint venture.

The firm will also be responsible for reviewing and approving all project calculations and proposals regarding LTTD, recycling of waste streams, and secondary manufacturing.

The new company is currently working on a re-mediation project for the AGAS Project at the BAPCO refinery in Bahrain, which the partners said is one of the largest thermal recycling projects in the world, estimated to be approximately 4 million tonnes of waste.
