Construction work on the UAE’s first nuclear power station is 75% complete, the Abu Dhabi government said on Saturday.
The Barakah plant is set to come online by 2020, the official government communication office said in a tweet.
The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) facility consists of four reactors.
Barakah is being built by consortium of builders led by the South Korean power giant Korean Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).
It is located in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, about 50 kilometers west of Ruwais.
