The Langham Hospitality Group and developer Omniyat plan to build a $273 million hotel and serviced-apartment block near the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, with the project set for completion in 2018.

The Langham Place Downtown Dubai will include 167 hotel rooms and span a built-up area of 680,838 square feet. Along with the planned serviced apartments, the project will include a total of 438 units, the two companies said in a joint statement.

“We are pleased to partner with Langham Hospitality Group to expand our portfolio in the region by introducing a new offering in the market, in which its serviced apartments will be released for global investors as of the 13th of October,” said Mahdi Amjad, Executive Chairman and CEO of Omniyat.

The Langham Place will also feature an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, a specialty restaurant and a salon which will serve the brand’s signature afternoon tea.

Omniyat’s total portfolio of projects now stands at $4.4 billion, according to the statement.
