Omniyat, development firm based in Dubai, and Drake & Scull International (DSI) have entered into a partnership to build a residential project located at the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, called ‘One at Palm Jumeirah’. Enabling works on the project will commence within the next two months.

The project will be jointly developed by both firms and managed by Omniyat. Architects Soma from New York, Super Potato from Japan and Vladimir from Lebanon will design the building, with apartment sizes ranging from 2,500 to 20,000 square feet.

“We are delighted to partner with Omniyat to create a unique landmark on the iconic Palm Jumeirah skyline,” Khaldoun Al Tabari, CEO and vice-chairman of DSI PJSC said without revealing further project details. “Omniyat’s track record of developing such high profile projects will complement our regional experience and we hope to enter into similar partnerships in the future.”

The project is set for launch at Cityscape Global 2014. Mahdi Amjad, Executive Chairman and CEO of Omniyat said the project’s location at the entrance of Palm Jumeirah is the “perfect location” for the development.

“Omniyat is very excited this project, which will be a global collaboration with inputs from Dubai, Japan, New York and Lebanon. It will definitely stand out on the Dubai skyline,” Amjad added.
