Atlas Copco has won a repeat mining equipment order in India worth $9.2 million. The machines will be used by Hindustan Zinc in its Zawar and Kayad mines in northwestern India.

The equipment ordered includes face drilling rigs as well as loading and hauling machines.

“We share a valuable partnership with Vedanta, and this repeat order underlines our strong focus on customer satisfaction and ability to deliver products and solutions that boost customer productivity,” said Bob Fassl, business area president, Atlas Copco Mining and Rock Excavation Technique.

Hindustan Zinc is a company of Vedanta Resources PLC that produces zinc, lead and silver, and has been investing in modern equipment to boost productivity from existing and new mines, including a deal announced in May worth $10 million.
