A sale featuring plant and fleet belonging to the UAE ministry of finance and Sharjah Transport raised $735,000 earlier this month.
The auction organised by The Emirates Transport Used Vehicles Sales Centre sold 189 vehicles during the auction held at the Sharjah Industrial Zone.
Buyers had 78 vehicles and equipment belonging to Emirates Transport plus another 111 vehicles to choose from and Salman Mohammed Ibrahim, manager of the Used Vehicles Sales Centre said: “These auctions conducted by the centre reflect the constant care and attention given by the corporation to modernizing its fleet of vehicles and buses that have exceed their operational life.”
The types of vehicles sold include industrial-purpose vehicles, pick-up trucks, four-wheel drive vehicle, saloon cars and buses.
Ibrahim added the next auction will be held in the Musafah area of Abu Dhabi, at the beginning of October, and is expected to feature 175 vehicles.
