BPME Awards 2020 nominations close 17 December, 2020
Awards ceremony returns on January 26, 2020 at the Ritz Carlton JBR in Dubai
There are just five more days before the close of nominations for the 2020 edition of the Big Project Middle East Awards (BPME Awards), ahead of a live awards ceremony on January 26, 2021 at the Ritz Carlton JBR.
In a statement, the editorial team said that nominations will be collated and passed onto a panel of expert judges for voting, with several new categories included in this year’s awards edition.
In addition to the regular categories featured at the Big Project ME Awards, this year has seen the addition of categories such as ‘Fire and Life Safety Innovation, ‘Excellence in Health and Employee Safety’, ‘Digital Transformation Champion’ and ‘Energy Innovator of the Year’.
These new categories reflect the changing nature of the construction industry and aim to showcase the new demands and challenges the industry faces as it evolves and grows off the back of one of the most difficult years in history.
In addition, the project categories have been diversified to allow the industry to better showcase their abilities in a more focused manner. Therefore, the project categories up for nomination include ‘Fire and Life Safety Project of the Year’, ‘BIM Project of the Year’, ‘Smart Project of the Year’, ‘Energy Project of the Year’, and ‘HSE Project of the Year’, in addition to our long-standing categories of ‘MEP Project of the Year’, ‘Fit-Out Project of the Year’, ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’, and of course, ‘Project of the Year’.
The Big Project ME Awards are scheduled to take place at the Ritz Carlton JBR in Dubai on January 26, 2021.
