First-ever Virtual Middle East BIM Summit to start on Monday

Panellists to discuss about utilising BIM to ensure business continuity, BIM mandates, and utilisation of technology

Big Project ME is set to hold the fifth iteration, and its first-ever virtual edition of the annual Middle East BIM Summit from November 23 to 25.

The free to attend event, organised by CPI Trade Media will bring together well-known speakers from the regional construction and technology sector to discuss important issues, over three days this week.

The panel discussions at this year’s digital event are as follows: Streamlining Project Delivery (November 23); Creating A Viable BIM Mandate (November 24) and Utilisation of Geomatics and BIM (November 25) at 10 AM followed by a virtual presentation at noon, each day.

Renowned speakers from The Red Sea Development Company,  Khatib & Alami, Hloov, EllisDon and many other companies will be participating in the three-day event. The year’s Middle East BIM Summit is sponsored by 12d Model, GCS, KEO International Consultants, and RIB.

Industry experts, as well as knowledge partners, will be sharing their insights and recommendations on emerging challenges in the construction industry, BIM technology solutions, and project management strategies.

Now in its fifth year, the 2020 edition of the Middle East BIM Summit will centre around how companies can utilise BIM to ensure business continuity; the need for a viable BIM mandate for the AEC industry; and the utilisation of technologies such as drones, GPS and laser scanning in the built environment.

The summit will also focus on how BIM and its associated technologies have allowed contractors and consultants to seamlessly bridge the gap between being physically onsite and working remotely, in light of the global pandemic.

A Q&A session will be hosted at the end of each discussion and presentation for 15 minutes, while a live chat option will be available throughout the event. Viewers will also be able to join the event from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or any Android device.
