Passengers on the Dubai Metro experienced severe disruptions to service on Monday morning, following a breakdown between Nakheel and Jebel Ali.
According to staff at the JLT Metro Station, the delay was caused by an ‘electrical fault’. Announcements at the station said that passengers could avail of a bus service to get to their destinations.
However, passengers said that they had been waiting for buses for more than 40 minutes, causing massive delays during the morning rush hour.
There were no responses from RTA when contacted by Big Project ME for a comment, although a tweet from the authority confirmed that it was working on fixing the problem.
