Bahrain’s Diyar Al Muharraq completes Phase One of highway landscaping
Initial phase includes landscaping, installation of benches and waste collection bins and a fully automated irrigation system
Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the largest real estate developers in Bahrain, has announced the completion of the first phase of highway landscaping, including extensively landscaped and park areas as part of its masterplan, to create a healthy lifestyle.
In a statement, the developer said that this comes in line with the efforts of Bahrain’s leadership to develop an agricultural environment and green areas around the kingdom. With the completion of Phase One of the project, residents and visitors would get to enjoy a clean and healthy outdoor environment as the weather improves.
The initial phase includes, an addition to the landscaping, the installation of benches, and waste collection bins. It also includes a fully automated irrigation system, which preserves the green areas while eliminating the need for manual labour. The automated irrigation system can be programmed to operate at any time, and only when required, so as to improve the efficiency of water usage, the developer explained.
It stated that Diyar Al Muharraq’s masterplan was designed to reduce both energy consumption and carbon emissions, while promoting the concept of sustainability by taking into account three key elements – social, economic and environmental.
One of the largest integrated cities in Bahrain, Diyar Al Muharraq offers a variety of luxury, modern housing solutions. The developer has said that it is committed to creating interconnected communities in a fully integrated model city, through its easily accessible facilities.
Located on the northern shores of Muharraq, it comprises 7 reclaimed islands of 10sqkm and total area spanning 12sqkm. Upon completion, Diyar Al Muharraq will encompass over 40km of waterfront with sandy beaches and all the elements of a vibrant community, ranging extensively from fully equipped educational facilities and schools, medical centres, recreation facilities, shopping malls, expansive parklands, hotels and marinas.
