Emaar and Dubai Holdings develop MBR City’s first project
Emirates Hills project to include parks, retail centres and schools
This week Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding unveiled the first phase of the Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR City), announced in November.
MBR city is an ambitious project which will include the world’s biggest shopping mall, a theme park and a park bigger than London’s Hyde Park
The launch of Dubai Hills heralds the first residential project of MBR City and is a gated community built around a new 18-hole championship golf course. Each plot will be 20,000 to 30,000 sq ft.
“Dubai Hills is set to be the first choice for discerning property investors,” said Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties.
The new project will be between Emirates and Al Khail Road and will also include parks, retail centres, schools and healthcare facilities.
The MBR City project has four key components. They are family tourism, retail, the largest area for arts galleries in Middle East and North Africa and the fourth is development of facilities for ‘an integrated environment for entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.’
Expanding and improving tourism related infrastructure will enable Dubai is to compete on the global tourism stage, with competing locations in Europe and the USA.
