Imkan announces Thanaya on track for handover in Q4, 2019

Developer boasts a portfolio of 26 projects spread across three continents

Imkan has announced that work on its Thanaya residential project is progressing at pace, with 75% of the shoring complete. The developer says that construction work is in full swing and that the project is on schedule for handover in Q4, 2019.

Earlier this year, Imkan had appointed Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast as the main contractor, while UNii Engineering Consultancy was named the lead consultant. Arcadis was also appointed as the cost consultant on the project.

The development comprises 84 apartments spread across six floors, two basement car parking levels, multi-use retail and F&B space and a pharmacy on the ground level, and a community clinic on the mezzanine level.

“Thanaya has been carefully designed to respect local customs while providing an enhanced living experience. The varied elements integrated within the project are a direct result of Imkan’s in-depth research on the micro-environment, combined with meticulous planning to create a holistic community. Furthermore, its purpose-driven architecture responds to the site requirements and market forecasts,” said Imkan CEO Walid El Hindi.

According to El Hindi, Imkan has a ‘consistent project progress track record across its portfolio, and a strong research focus that remains at the heart of everything the company does, regardless of the size of a project’.

He added, “Our destinations stand out for their unique emphasis on people and community-building that enables us to shape the residential and commercial real estate landscape of Abu Dhabi in new and exciting ways.”

The Abu Dhabi-based developer says it is keen to expand its domestic and international footprint through unique projects that support and enhance local culture, while seamlessly becoming a part of the communities in which they operate.
