Eagle Hills signs contract with HSSG for foundation services for Mandarin Oriental Muscat

Project is scheduled to open in 2021 and will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, along with 156 private residences

Eagle Hills Muscat, a private real estate investment and development company, has signed a contract with HSSG, a foundation engineering specialist, to provide a range of services, including the excavation, shoring and piling works for its Mandarin Oriental project in Muscat.

The project is being developed by Eagle Hills Muscat, a joint venture between UAE-based Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi and Izz International. It will be managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Scheduled to open in 2021, the Mandarin Oriental Muscat will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, and an outdoor swimming pool, the developer said in a statement.

The project will also have 156 residences that are being introduced for the first time in the region, featuring private apartments that will range from 75sqm to 260sqm in size. The venue will also have a variety of banqueting and meeting spaces to accommodate social and business events, in addition to a ballroom overlooking the Oman Sea, it added.

“The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Muscat will provide the first high-end branded residence in Oman. Located in a prime city location on the beach, the development will offer the height of living and feature a beautiful low-rise architectural design inspired by Oman’s cultural legacy,” said Low Ping, CEO of Eagle Hills.

“In order to deliver upon our quality promise, we will be working with the experienced team at HSSG, which shares our dedication to delivering the very best in the market,” noted Ping.

She added that HSSG offers a range of services for large-scale foundation projects throughout the region, with a particular focus on foundation engineering capabilities that span civil infrastructure, commercial and housing projects.

Since its inception in 2014, Eagle Hills’ growth plan has seen it enter into agreements to support the redevelopment and reinvigoration of a number of cities in Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The developer is currently working on projects in Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Serbia and the UAE.
