First Volvo A45G articulated hauler delivered in the UAE
FAMCO unveils new 45t giant and hands over first unit to Sharjah-based contractor
The first Volvo CE A45G articulated hauler in the UAE has been delivered to Al Marwan General Contracting Company (MGCC) by the equipment major’s authorised dealer in the country, Al-Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company (FAMCO).
According to a statement by FAMCO, the keys of the latest version of Volvo’s 45t articulated hauler were handed over to MGCC senior management at an official ceremony in Sharjah today (October 2) in the presence of senior executives of both companies as well as Volvo CE. The ceremony also marked the official unveiling of the new hauler in the UAE by FAMCO, which is a key partner in Volvo CE’s regional and international network.

Volvo CE is the pioneer of the articulated hauler, having launched the first 50 years ago. Today’s models have come a long way from the original 10t model, and the A45G can move even more tonnes per hour with a 2t increase in payload, while its Volvo engine and robust, durable and reliable design ensure the best performance in all conditions.
Apart from higher payload capabilities, the new model features dynamic and predictive gear selection, low fuel consumption, telematics machine monitoring systems such as CareTrack and MATRIS – all contributing to optimised production, lower operational costs and improved comfort, said FAMCO.
