Abu Dhabi allocates 3,000 plots for Emiratis
Project will provide residents with mosques, parks, schools and other community facilities
The government of Abu Dhabi has announced thousands of private residential plots are to be allocated for Emiratis in Al Khrair in the eastern sector of Al Ain region.
The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) has revealed the master-plan for the development of the area, in which nearly 25,000 people are expected to live when completed.
One-third of the 3,000 proposed plots have already been handed over to Al Ain Municipality for distribution, the UPC said.
The project will provide residents with mosques and parks, schools, and petrol stations and other community facilities to provide a high quality community, said Falah Al Ahbabi, the general manager at the UPC.
The area will also have a greenway network to ensure that the environment is protected, Al Ahbabi noted.
