Al Hassan awarded Hyundai contract
Omani firm to handle electrical and instrumentation work for the Oman Oil Gas Plant in Musandam
Oman’s Al Hassan Engineering has won a $10.4m deal from Hyundai Engineering for the Oman Oil Gas Plant in Musandam.
South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering has awarded Oman’s Al Hassan Engineering Company (AHEC) the contract for the completion of electrical and instrumentation work on the Oman Oil Gas Plant at Musandam.
The duration of the $10.4m deal is 14 months from the commencement date of September 20, said AHEC in an announcement on the Muscat Securities Market website.
Hyundai is building an oil and gas processing plant in Musandam, which was awarded by Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production (OOCEP) late last year.
Al Hassan Engineering Abu Dhabi LLC, a subsidiary 49% owned by AHEC, has also won a $8m contract by Samsung Engineering Company in Abu Dhabi for piping erection work in the emirate.
