LACASA’s Emad Jaber named Architecture Business Leader of Year
Jaber recognized for work within Palestine and its impact on the local economy
LACASA Architects Managing Partner and LACASA Holdings Chairman, Emad Jaber, has been awarded the prestigious title of Architecture Business Leader of the Year in the Middle East by Business Worldwide Magazine.
Jaber was recognized for his work within Palestine, and its impact on the local economy, according to a statement issued by LACASA.
In September 2017, Jaber’s property development firm, LACASA Holdings unveiled its plans to launch Palestine’s largest shopping destination covering over 60,000 sqm. The Mall of Palestine, designed entirely by the firm’s Dubai-based subsidiary, LACASA Architects, “has made waves across the industry as an economical milestone as well as a social landmark,” according to the statement.
Jaber explained that the project is set to change the country in more ways than one. “Not only will [the Mall] create a new social hub and significantly boost the economy, it will also create hundreds of jobs for Palestinians. As with all our Palestine projects, we have also contributed to the improvement of the construction industry through the transference of expertise from Dubai”.
The development, which was met with overwhelming support from both government and local residents, will introduce a plethora of affordable shopping selections, multinational dining options, and first-ever entertainment hubs.
