GCC-based equipment rental, transportation and logistics services heavyweight, Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co. (JTC), has expanded its fleet with a new nine-axle, 700t capacity class, Demag AC 700-9 all-terrain crane.

According to a statement by global equipment major, Terex, owner of the Demag brand, the addition of the Demag AC 700-9 has brought the strength of JTC’s fleet of Demag and Terex cranes to 25 units. This recent order, in addition to five smaller Demag cranes JTC purchased earlier this year, will help the company keep up with its growing workload in its major territories of operation in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, it added.

“We have been pleased with the productivity and quality of our Demag cranes,” said Adel Kohari, JTC CEO, “which is why we chose the Demag AC 700-9 model this time around. Our work continues to grow, and to keep up with demand we need reliable and versatile equipment, which Demag offers us.”

Established in 1979, JTC works in the public and private sectors of the oil & gas and construction industries. The company’s new Demag AC 700-9 all-terrain crane will be used on many substantial and challenging lifting projects, said the statement.

The crane’s main boom length of 60m and main boom extension length of 96m provide ample lift height and reach, and its compact chassis design makes transporting and positioning quick and easy, said Terex.

“From product design, onboard innovative features and technology to reliability and the support we receive from the service team, it’s always a pleasure to do business with Terex Cranes,” added Kohari.
