Firm to carry out design and execution of civil and electro mechanical work for water project
Iraq’s Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works has awarded Malaysian contractor, HoHup Construction Company a $86m contract for the design and execution of civil and electro mechanical works for the Al Zuhour Water Project in Baghdad.
The 10,000 m3 per hour capacity turnkey project also includes the supply and installation of equipment and pipes, as well as operation and maintenance, said HoHup.
“Construction of the project is planned to commence in September 2012 and is expected to be completed in 30 months, up to February 2015, with a further 12 months of maintenance period of the mechanical, electrical and transmission piping,” it said.
