Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Company (GASCO) has awarded Dubai-based engineering, procurement and construction firm, Dodsal Group, the contract to build two pipelines from a gas processing plant south west of Abu Dhabi to industrial users to the north east of the UAE capital.
Citing two unnamed sources, Reuters said that under the $450m deal, a 297km pipeline will be built to supply gas to Emirates Aluminium (Emal) and other industries in Taweelah, a new industrial hub located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
GASCO is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) which owns 68% and Shell (15%), Total (15%) and Partex (2%).
