Lusail City to start receiving tenants by end of 2013
New extension to Doha is expected to be fully built by 2020 and accommodate 200,000 residents and 170,000 employees
Ali Kaldari, the CEO of Qatar’s Lusail Real Estate Development Company, has said the Lusail City project is expected to receive its first tenants by the end of 2013.
Set to become a new extension to Doha, Lusail City is expected to be fully built by 2020, at which time the project would accommodate around 200,000 residents and 170,000 employees in the commercial area, in addition to more than 80,000 visitors, said Kaldari.
“We, at Qatari Diar, are competing with other investors to be among the first tenants; we are also planning to move into one of the buildings in Lusail City,” Kaldari told the Gulf Times.
The development extends across an area of 38km2 and includes four exclusive islands and 19 multi-purpose residential, mixed use, entertainment and commercial districts.
