Sur Gate project launched in Oman
$312m project will begin construction early next year, developer says
Oman’s Al Sharqiya Real Estate Developers has launched the Sur Gate commercial project in the Sharqiyah Governorate.
Located in the Sur Industrial Estate, the $312m project will have a total area of 225,000 m2 and will comprise of a luxury hotel with 144 rooms and 18 suites, a commercial complex for business use, a hypermarket and a modern entertainment complex that will include a four-screen movie theatre.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, with construction starting early next year.
“The entire project will be completed in three phases over a span of four years,” said Yasser Ali al Alawi, managing director of Al Sharqiya Real Estate. “The first phase, which includes residential units and the hypermarket, will be completed in one year,” he said.
