Dubai firm secures $98m housing contract in Iraq
Contract includes 72 buildings, 156 villas and necessary infrastructure and amenities
Dubai based RW Middle East has won a contract for the construction of a total of 1308 homes in Iraq on an area of 221,000 m2.
The $98m design and build contract was awarded by Iraqi developer Sama Al Douh Contracting and Real Estate Investments which is developing the project for Iraq Ministry of Housing.
The project comprises 72, G+3 buildings and 156, G+1 villas, with all the necessary infrastructure services such as networks, roads and landscape, in addition to amenities such as a mosque, restaurants, schools, market, cultural centre, and health centre.
Construction works are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2012, and is due to be completed in the next two years, the company said.
