Furthermore, the team also presented plans about the entrances and exits for the Jewel of the Creek project, which include the construction of a pedestrian bridge on Baniyas road and the intersection between Jebel Ali and Qudra streets, as well as a flyover bridge for bicycles.

Sheikh Mohammed was also briefed about the project designs for shipping docks on both the Dubai Water Canal and Commercial Bay. It is estimated that there were 6,000 passengers per hour in the month of January. The expansion of the metro station will see capacity increased to 180,000 passengers daily.

Sheikh Mohammed was also shown plans for a 120-metre long pedestrian bridge which will connect the Al Sufouh and Western street areas in JBR. Expected to be complete in 2017, the bridge will allow the free movement of pedestrians in different directions.
