Design firm RMJM appointed to work on ‘The Tower’ in Dubai
The project, set to be the tallest building in the UAE, is to form the centrepiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour district
The UK-headquartered RMJM has been appointed by Aurecon as the executive architect and interior designer for The Tower project in Dubai, according to a statement on the company’s website.
Santiago Calatrava Valls, whose design was chosen by Emaar for the project, earlier appointed Aurecon as the architect-of-record to collaborate on a range of design and technical features for the project.
The Tower will be the centrepiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour district and is expected to be 100 metres taller than the Burj Khalifa, which currently holds the world record as the tallest building.
The $1 billion project will offer guests a 360 viewing experience and will comprise of a pinnacle room and VIP Observation Garden Decks, among other attractions.
