Omniyat appoints contractor for Dubai project
Brookfield Multiplex to build $544m One at Palm Jumeirah
Omniyat has appointed Brookfield Multiplex (BM) as the main contractor for its co-owned One at Palm Jumeirah project in Dubai, the developer said in a statement.
Construction on the 24-storey LEED Silver-rated project, which has a gross area of 107,795 square metres, is expected to take two years.
“I am delighted to announce the appointment of Brookfield Multiplex as the main contractor on the One at Palm Jumeirah,” said Mark Phoenix, Managing Director of the Omniyat group. “Our relationship with Brookfield Multiplex goes back a long time and both the management and team have always demonstrated the highest level of expertise and professionalism.”
John Ferguson, Executive Chairman of Brookfield Multiplex, said: “We are delighted to be chosen to build this unique and outstanding project, and we look forward to building on our existing relationship with Omniyat.”
The AED 2 billion ($544m) project is located at the first plot on the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, and will house 90 “ultra-luxurious” apartments. The apartments range in price from AED 14 million to AED 200 million ($54 million), with the penthouse said to be Dubai’s most expensive.
The One at Palm Jumeirah will house three swimming pools, a private yacht club, a private cinema and landscaped areas.
