LiuGong’s largest loader
New 50 tonne loader from LiuGong
The largest manufacturer of wheel loaders in the world, LiuGong, has shown its largest ever loader, the 50 tonne capacity CLG8128H.
The loader was unveiled at the Bauma China event in Shanghai. The massive loader has a rated load capacity of 12t, breakout force of 360kN and 4.04m dump height. At Bauma China, it was shown with a rock bucket with 7.0m³ with movable blade. Components include a Dana C9672 torque converter, and the machine takes 7.4 seconds to raise for full loading.
The CLG8128H will be used mainly for large projects. There are no Chinese competitors in this weight class, noted the company, pitting the machine against the likes of Caterpillar and Komatsu, who also manufacture loaders in this weight class.
A LiuGong representative said that while the machine is past its prototyping phase, it is yet to enter into serial production. Initially it will be targeted at the Chinese domestic market, with plans for export it to the global market at a later date.
