Dubai construction contracts to look out for in 2019
Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion contracts to fuel the contractor awards in 2019, says Ventures ONSITE
Casting an eye over the Dubai market, Ventures ONSITE’s Projects Intelligence tracker says the approval of 2019’s $2.5 billion infrastructure budget will help the emirate meet its “expansion needs for the Expo 2020 and beyond.”
According to the analyst, $30 billion worth of contracts were awarded to contractors in 2018 as per Projects Intelligence tracker Ventures ONSITE. It also noted out of the total budgeted spend of $15.5 billion for 2019, 33% of expenditures are “allocated for housing, education and healthcare.”
In Dubai’s construction sector, new contractor awards will be driven by Expo 2020 related projects for 2019 and Ventures ONSITE has provided an update of some of the pavilion contracts expected to be awarded to contractors soon:
