The main construction phase is now underway at Soho Square, Bloom Properties’ second mixed-use project on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement by the developer.

Bloom Properties has appointed Emirates Link Maltauro to carry out the work.

The project is said to feature world-class residential, retail and commercial spaces, and is located close to the New York University Abu Dhabi campus. The developer says the project has been successful in attracting investors looking for ROI and long-term capital appreciation.

“Bloom Properties is delighted to announce the commencement of main construction works on our second project at Saadiyat. Given the high demand for quality urban housing with high-end amenities on the island, Bloom is committed to the timely delivery of the project that will ensure compliance with best-in-class construction standards. Bloom Properties is keen to strengthen its footprint in the Abu Dhabi real estate market by offering investors the best real estate products in the most premium locations,” says Sameh Muhtadi, CEO of Bloom Holding.

The 10-storey development offers a plethora of units including studios, three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and a penthouse. The project will also feature commercial and retail facilities, and amenities including restaurants, a swimming pool and a fitness center.

Mohamad Sleiman, general manager of Emirates Link Maltauro adds, “We are pleased to collaborate with Bloom Properties on this exciting project. We are confident that our strong commitment to engineering excellence will help us deliver the project to the complete satisfaction of the developer and ultimately the end users, in line with highest international standards.”

Bloom Properties had previously awarded enabling works of the project to Dutch Foundation Company and Concrete Rehabilitation. Work on this part of the project began in September last year, and was recently completed, allowing for the main construction work to commence.
