ACC to build Europe’s tallest seafront resi tower in Cyprus
Arabian Construction Company, the UAE-based contractor, to build 170m, 37-storey tower as part of joint venture
Arabian Construction Company, the UAE-based contractor, has said that its joint venture with Joannou & Paraskevaides Group has won a contract to build a 170m tall luxury residential tower in Cyprus.
Known as ‘One’, the development will be the tallest residential seafront tower in Europe once it is complete in 2019. It is the first project in Cyprus for the UAE company.
Located on 28th October Avenue in Limassol, the project will be a landmark on Cyprus’ skyline, and a representation of the island’s progress, the contractor said in a statement. The 37-storey building will contain 83 apartments, with a mix of two-, three- and four bedrooms. A three-floor penthouse will also be part of the tower.
Furthermore, the building will contain a spa, fitness centre and swimming pool, along with retail space.
“We are delighted to undertake our first project in the country. We are proud that the client has placed their faith in the combination of our high-rise expertise and the local experience of our J&P Group partners, to build what will become one of the most iconic buildings in Cyprus,” said Maher Merehbi, CEO of ACC.
The contractor has constructed a number of high-rise buildings across the GCC and Middle East, Merehbi said. This includes some of the tallest towers in the UAE, such as the Almas Tower, Princess Tower, Sky Tower, Gate Towers, Etihad Towers, and many more.
“For almost 50 years, we have shaped the skylines of major cities, set the infrastructure for large industrial facilities and built landmark healthcare, hospitality, commercial and residential projects,” he added.
