Lebanon-based Kidz Holding, founder of the KidzMondo theme park concept, has announced plans to open its first attraction in Riyadh, in partnership with Saudi contractor Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons.

KidzMondo’s educational theme parks are miniature ‘cities’ dedicated to children aged between two and 14, which allow them to learn more about different occupations and trades.

Under a franchise agreement signed between Kidz Holding and Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons, the first KidzMondo theme park is scheduled to open in Riyadh in the first quarter of 2017, followed by more parks in other major cities throughout the Kingdom.

The theme park project, which will see seven Kidzmondo branches open in Saudi Arabia over ten years, will require an investment of SR 500 million ($133.3 million).

“We have always regarded the GCC countries, especially Saudi Arabia, as a strategic market for our innovative educational and entertainment projects. We also expect to achieve great success through the signing of this agreement and entrance into the largest market of the Arab world,” said Ali Kazma, Chairman of Kidz Holding and founder of the KidzMondo concept.

KidzMondo Saudi Arabia is expected to cooperate with over 60 brands that will sponsor various activities in the miniature city including a fire station, a bank, an oil refinery, trading and construction companies, restaurants, and radio and TV stations.
