Tiger Woods to design golf course in Dubai for Damac
Site preparation work on the Trump World Golf Club Dubai is underway, Damac said
Champion golfer Tiger Woods will design a new 18-hole golf course in Dubai, to be built by Damac Properties and operated by The Trump Organisation.
The course will be situated at the heart of Damac’s Akoya Oxygen project, and will be part of the Trump World Golf Club Dubai, which will feature a clubhouse, restaurant, and pro shop.
“Tiger Woods is one of the most famous and iconic sportsmen in the world who will bring his design expertise and worldwide playing experience to this amazing development,” said Ziad El Chaar, managing director, Damac Properties.
“We believe The Trump World Golf Club Dubai will be a market leader, judged against the best golf courses in the world,” El Chaar added.
Site preparation work on the golf club is underway, and the course is scheduled to open by the end of 2017, Damac said in a statement.

Damac’s 5 million sq. m Akoya Oxygen development was launched in August this year. Situated in the Dubailand, the project will include more than 4,000 trees, along with a five-star hotel, a wellness centre, as well as retail, leisure, and entertainment offerings.
Other projects in the pipeline for Damac include the $1 billion Damac Towers by Paramout, a hotel and luxury serviced residence in the Burj Area of Dubai.
