New Iveco Daily truck launched in Oman
80% of the new Daily components have been redesigned, the Italian vehicle firm says
The re-engineered Iveco Daily truck was this week launched in Oman, at an event attended by partners and select customers of the Turin-headquartered industrial-vehicle firm.
“Oman is the first country in the GCC to see the launch of the New Daily in the Middle East,” said Pierre Lahutte, Brand President at Iveco, at the official launch.
“We give a huge importance to the Africa and Middle East region, particularly the GCC, as they are a critical area for Iveco.”
More than 2.6 million Daily vehicles have been sold to date in over 110 countries worldwide, the company says.
The third generation of the Daily is focused on business requirements and offers considerable reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous models, with improvements in running costs, together with offering a wide range of engines, transmissions and axle ratios.
“This launch will raise segments standards to new heights in this region,” said Marco Torta, Sales Manager for Gulf region at Iveco. “80% of the new Daily components have been redesigned in the hope that the market potential will be served”.
Mr Torta added that since the launch of the New Daily in Europe, Iveco has already collected more than 8,000 orders, and the new vehicle recently received the International Van of the Year 2015 award.
